| Chemical resistance |

Immersion testWe soak a specimen in specified chemicals (fuel, oil, LLC, acid, alkali and all) with an autoclave, eject it at specified temperature and time, and examine the changes in physical properties. |
Creep in liquidWe measure the fracture time of the specimen by applying test stress (load) to it while soaking it in test chemical. ※However, we cannot measure the deformation amount (deformations) of the specimen. |
| Stress crack resistance |
Variable strain – 1/4 elliptical methodWe confirm the presence or absence of crack generation when we perform application of test chemicals to the specimen, perform cycle tests, or leave it under test circumstance with the specimen bent along the circumference of an ellipse (major axis: 127mm/ minor axis: 38.1mm). |
Constant strain – environmental stress cracks (bent strip method/ ASTM D 1693, based on JIS K 6761)We confirm the presence or absence of crack generation when we soak and leave the specimen, which is mainly polyethylene material, in the test chemical (Igepal CO-630 and interfacial active agent) with the specimen bent along the U-shape. |
| Creep characteristic |
Creep test (JIS K 7115, JIS K 7116, ASTM D2990)JIS K7115 (tensile), JIS K7116 (bending) Plastics are highly time dependent because they are viscoelastic body. In a creep test, we apply a constant stress to the specimen and measure the deformation by elapsed time. |
| Strain release |
Strain release test –tensile mode –compression modeWe apply a constant load in a creep test. On the other hand, in a strain release test, we apply a constant deformation and measure the stress change by elapsed time. |
| Antiweatherability |
Xenon Weather Meter (Ci4000)This is close to the wavelength distribution of natural sunlight. Irradiation time equivalent to 1 year outdoor = around 1400 hours (in the case of the amount of ultraviolet light 298.4MJ, incident radiant flux density 60W/m2) |
Super Xenon Weather Meter (SX75)The facilitation is increased by high incident radiant flux density. Irradiation time equivalent to 1 year outdoor = around 470 hours (in the case of the amount of ultraviolet light 298.4MJ, incident radiant flux density 180W/m2) |
Sunshine weather meter test | SWOM (JIS B 7753,JIS D 0205,JIS K 7350-4)It has the wavelength distribution that natural sunlight doesn’t have, but it accumulates a lot of data. Irradiation time equivalent to 1 year outdoor = around 1100 hours (in the case of the amount of ultraviolet light 298.4MJ, incident radiant flux density 78.5W/m2) |
UV fluorescent lamp test QUV (ASTM G154,JIS K 7350-3)UV fluorescent lamp test (QUV) facilitates the degradation by repeating condensation cycle of exposure to ultraviolet light and dark. |
| Corrosion resistance |
Neutral salt spray testWe examine the corrosion resistance by brine damage using a salt spray tester. |
Cyclic corrosion testThis is a test to facilitate corrosion by repeating adding salt water, drying, and moistening. The test environment can get closer to the environment where the product will be used actually by making a cycle. Moreover, the test has higher market correlation than a neutral salt spray test which is performed at a constant value. |
| Heat aging |
Gear oven test Air circulation oven test Explosion-proof oven testUsing a gear oven or an air circulation oven, a heat aging test is performed (specified temperature, specified time). The temperature range is from RT to 300℃. We also deal with a pre-examination for RTI (long-term heat resistance temperature) tests of UL 746 B. |
|
Wet and heat resistance |
Constant temperature and humidity test, heat cycle testThis is an environmental testing using a constant temperature and humidity oven. Many plastics have lower physical properties when they are left in high humidity condition. control range of temperature and humidity: -70~150℃/30~98%RH We can perform a cycle test as a part of durability tests by controlling the program of environmental changes such as temperature and humidity, for example, “low temperature (-40℃) → high temperature (120℃) → constant temperature and humidity (85℃・85%RH)→ low temperature.” |
Thermal shock testIt is called heat shock to put a specimen from high temperature atmosphere to low temperature atmosphere rapidly. Temperature range: low temperature side -70~0℃, high temperature side 60~200℃ |
Highly accelerated stress test (HAST, pressure cooker)We conduct an accelerated life testing of moisture resistance test while we facilitate the intrusion of moisture into the specimen’s interior by recreating water-vapor atmosphere of 100℃ and higher, and increasing the pressure inside the test chamber. |
|
Fatigue characteristics |
Plane bending fatigue testIn this test, the fatigue properties of plastics are measured by repeatedly applying bending moments in a plane perpendicular to the surface of a flat plastic test piece and passing through the axis of the test piece. |
